Man dances in 42 countries

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

I’m an avid reader of a We The Robots, a great comic written by Chris Harding (a fellow Kansas Citian). The strip follows the misadventures of Bob, a robot running the rat race day in and day out.

Chris Harding linked to this video from Matt Harding (no relation) recently. I don’t know what the impetus for making this video was, but it’s fun and stunning. Enjoy.

Words escape me…

This, apparently, is a honest-to-goodness internal Microsoft video meant to inspire the Vista sales force. If this is real, and you still buy Vista after this, you are mom jeans.

Little Major League experience…

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

You may be familiar with an improv/performance art group called Improv Everywhere. They pull off some pretty sweet stunts seemingly at random and in public places. My personal favorite is when 50 or so of them all froze in place on cue in Grand Central Station. They held their place for what seemed to be an eternity, then all at once they unfroze and moved on with their actions. People in Grand Central applauded.

The most recent feat I’ve come across from them is this gem. They really put a lot of effort and planning in to one of their productions. They take the time to learn the names and history of people unwittingly involved, and in this case, really deliver an experience only dreamed of. If I were one of the kids in this video I’d be talking about it for years to come.

Barack Obama-sistible?

I’m not really interested in fairness or anything, but this is just pathetic. I mean… we get it.

Happy St. Patty’s Day…beware!

I have so much to write about right now, but there just isn’t enough time. Real quick here’s a rundown: Steve the cat has competition for fiercest predator in the hood, Jayhawks gonna run the table, new job update, some movie thoughts, and a goofy photo shoot that I was asked to be a part of. I’ll have to get to all of those over the next week or so.

Right now, though, it is the eve of St. Patty’s day! My buddy Carson Swisher is partly responsible for this wicked funny video involving a drunk leprechaun. Funnier thing is that he and his friend held auditions for the production in his house, and from the looks of it filmed it in his house that he had closed on three days earlier. You can see Carson in the back at one point with a cam in front of his face trying to get out of the way.

I checked on YouTube, the video is up to nearly 5,000 views and the reviews are pretty great. Have fun with the video, made me laugh.

OH! And if you need video production work for anything, you gotta go with Carson. Dude’s p.i.m.p. When you talk to him ask to see his Urban Wakeboarding and Urban Snowboarding videos.

Words I had to look up in this post: Leprechaun, predator and Your Mom.

What’s up Thursday…

cybermetri.jpgFor those of you that don’t know – and if you don’t it means you don’t watch the Today show – Windows Vista came out on Tuesday.

In an effort to reach those whose souls have been enlightened by the “Get a Mac” ads M$ released a pretty funny viral, soft sell marketing campaign. Demetri Martin, a very funny comic and host of Trendspotting on the Daily Show, was tapped for the main role in this campaign.

I am still a loyal Mac user, but am willing to give credit where credit is due. Check it here (clearification.com). Pretty pretty pretty pr-et-ty clever!

I would also like to learn how to control my glands.
