I ended up buying a pair from the place I got my eyes checked -- turns out my insurance is pretty dang good in this case... And, I actually found a pair I liked.

As a shout-out, I always have to tout EyeCare Optical (over by Wolf Camera in Westport). Doug knows many JWers and has help us with glasses for years now -- his glasses selection rocks (but mostly expensive).

Unfortunately, since my insurance changed, I can't go to him anymore. This time I went to Littlefield Eye Associates at 7400 Wornall. They were pretty good too, but their glasses selection isn't the greatest (even though I found the pair I bought).

Thanks Tim! I wasn't very clear about how I knew they would fit and all, huh?

I did it old skool. First, I went to a few shops and tried on some frames. Just so happened that the pair I liked most were at Optical Shop of A$pen. Then I just Googled the brand and frame name for a place to buy them online. Make sense?

There are some really great places online that sell off-brand or generic frames for really great prices ($80 w/ lenses). I'm just vain and felt the need to buy a good sturdy pair.

Good luck!

I think they look cool. And, thanks for the link. But, I have the most difficult time finding glasses that I like even when I get to try them on... How did you know that they would fit right, be comfortable, etc.?

By the way, I'm going to get my eyes checked tonight!
